Friendly staff, decent restaurant, nice view of the mountain s

Had a room heater, but rest of the hotel was cold. Free internet didn't work for the most part of our stay. Shelf in shower was broken. Average cleanliness in the room. Entrance was not convenient (had to climb many steps from the road).

Good location and quiet place. The heritage decor. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Good food and was prepared according to my needs.

The steep and narrow approach road. 30 steps to climb up to the Reception and no lift since it’s an old building. Very few hotels have lift in Darjeeling

Everything about the hotel was wonderful, cleanliness, exceptional staff always helpful. The day we were supposed to leave there was marathon scheduled so all roads were closed for traffic so we had to walk to the railway station , the staff from the hotel carried our luggage to the railway station . The food was awesome.

The drawbacks of the hotel is , it is built on a steep hill and the hotel does not have elevator. Every day to go out lot of stairs to climb up and down though there was a shuttle service to take us down the hilly road to the main street but the service time of the shuttle is from 8:00am to 9:00 pm so guest have to be back at the end of the street by 8:00 pm otherwise walk up the steep slope which is hard for seniors like us.The hot water line also doesn’t work properly all the time . As it is very old hotel it needs a lot of upgrades and maintenance.

The property although pretty old but very good in terms of location and the staff of the hotel were excellent. A few names that I can remember and would like to mention are:1) Pragya - main reception.2) Swaraj (I believe) - main reception.3) Mr. Anil - Restaurant manager.4) The kitchen staff and the table attenders.5) The housekeeping staff.6) The boys.The food was excellent and the breakfast spread was amazing.All of our requests were looked into with prompt response and effect. The stay was excellent experience for my family and would definitely recommend to others.

1) The rooms need to be upgraded in terms of the bed, bed mattress, window curtains and the carpets.2) The games room needs to be upgraded with better sports equipment.

location of the property is superb. Quality of food is excellent. warm and tourist fraindly behavior of the staff.

over all maintenance of the hotel. Uaes of wood in hotel interior including inside room are high, that's good it gives a rich look but it need to be polished in regular interval. Corridor lights needs to be appropriately bright. Need to clean carpets in regular interval.

The location is great, the rooms are nice, the food at the restaurant is very good, and the management and staff are outstanding.

I happened to get the last available room on a busy weekend, and it wasn’t quite as nice as I ideally would have liked. It was still comfortable, though, and it worked out just fine—no complaints. Having said that, for the last night of my stay I was moved to another room that had a great view and was extremely nice. This was a thoughtful gesture by the management, unprompted by me, and it was greatly appreciated.

Exceptional service from the entire staff. Something very valuable that is not emphasized enough online is their high end water treatment system ( apparently in all the Sinclair hotels). The location is also excellent.

The view was amazing from the suite. Staff was amazing.

There is no Lift, it was difficult for older people in my family.The room heater in 304 was not working properly.WIFI speed was Terrible.Beds in the room was Hard, not comfy.

Amazing view of Kanchenjunga from the hotel room. Staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. Loved the restaurant food esp the breakfast was superb. Good value for money. Certainly would recommend this hotel.

The property was well-maintained, and the staff were polite and friendly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout the stay. Their professionalism and warm demeanor added a positive touch to the overall experience.

This property offers limited food options with restricted timings, which is highly inconvenient. If you wake up at 10 AM, breakfast is unavailable, and if you’re late at night, dinner is not served. For a property charging around ₹5000 per day, this is incredibly disappointing. Guests expect more than just a place to throw their bags and sleep; they also deserve proper amenities, including accessible meals. Leaving guests with an empty stomach at such a premium price is unacceptable?

Excellent food and location.

The room heaters were of no use. Hotel needs to upgrade by installing modern heaters in the rooms.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. The property was clean and well maintained. The restaurant had wide food options and they were very quick in their service. Thanks for making our stay a memorable one.

The location maybe? But it's still okay, not more than 5 minutes walk up from Gandhi Road.
